RRetail operations
Retail operations that scale with every new account.
Every new retailer adds another portal, another item form, and another order format. Setup and order work run on automation, so adding an account doesn't mean adding a person.
What's included
The setup and order work every new retailer adds to your week.
- Item setup and listings
- New items set up in each retailer's format, from item forms and content to EDI and marketplace connections, tested before launch.
- EDI and order flow
- Retailer orders moving from EDI and portals into your order system and warehouse, with confirmations and invoices sent back.
- Inventory feeds to retailers
- Available stock pushed daily to dropship and marketplace portals, with safety-stock rules, SKU mapping, and error alerts.
From an ongoing engagement with a consumer brand. Client name withheld under confidentiality.
Read the resultsYou probably need this if
- New items take weeks to go live because every retailer wants a different form.
- Orders are re-keyed from portals and EDI into your order system.
- Dropship listings show stock you don't have, or hide stock you do.
- Each new account adds hours to someone's week.
Questions about retail operations
Which retail channels do you work with?
Club, department store, off-price, mass, grocery, specialty, marketplace, and DTC, through EDI, retailer portals, and marketplace connections.
Do you replace our EDI provider?
No. The automation sits on top of the EDI provider and order system you already use, such as SPS Commerce, so orders, confirmations, and invoices move without re-keying.
How do automated inventory feeds prevent cancellations?
Feeds push available stock to each retailer on a schedule, with safety-stock rules and SKU mapping, so retailers don't sell what you can't ship. Errors trigger an alert instead of failing silently.
Does this only work for CPG brands?
No. West Atlas grew out of CPG, but the same work shows up anywhere physical products move: wholesale, distribution, e-commerce, and light manufacturing. If your team handles purchase orders, freight, inventory, or channel reporting, it fits.
